Spinnaker Real Estate Partners expands team - hires Wilcox as managing director

Norwalk, CT  To help support its many ongoing commercial and residential development projects, Spinnaker Real Estate Partners has added new professionals to its growing team.

The most recent addition is John Wilcox, who will serve as managing director, responsible for sourcing and securing debt and equity financing for Spinnaker’s projects and developments in the Northeast. He will take over the role of Douglas Bora, who retired after 14 years with the company.

Wilcox brings more than 20 years of diverse experience to Spinnaker, having served most recently as managing director at RCX Capital Group in Greenwich and interim president and COO of Craft Enterprises in Fairfield. 

Wilcox’s prior experience included senior positions with Ten-X Capital Markets and Marcus & Millichap, among others. With an expertise in real estate capital markets transactions for institutional and private clients, Wilcox has successfully completed in excess of $10 billion of commercial real estate debt and equity raises involving all property types during his career. He is a graduate of Syracuse University and has an MBA from Columbia University. A resident of Fairfield, he is an avid sailor and has served on both municipal and state boards and commissions in Connecticut.

Additional new appointments include Lauren Sevilla of Fairfield, community manager, responsible for leasing and management efforts for the new Brim & Crown mixed-use, a 189-unit multifamily facility located at the East Norwalk Train Station; Daniel Mercede of Redding, leasing/marketing associate, who will also work on Brim & Crown; Henry Conroy of Norwalk, development associate; and Alanna Morque of Greenwich, project manager associate.
