Swiss-based SQ Innovation expands U.S. operations with 2,300 s/f lease at Cummings Properties' Tower Office Park

Woburn, MA Swiss biopharmaceutical developer SQ Innovation has expanded its U.S. operations with a 2,300 s/f lease at Tower Office Park. The new satellite facility, designated for light manufacturing and administrative functions, will complement the firm’s primary American operation in Burlington.

Founded in 2019, SQ Innovation develops novel therapies for subcutaneous drug delivery, aiming to support at-home treatment for conditions traditionally managed in hospital settings. The company’s Lasix ONYU, designed to treat fluid overload due to worsening heart failure, received U.S. FDA approval on October 7.

In addition to its Woburn and Burlington sites, SQ Innovation maintains operations in Switzerland and The Netherlands.

Cummings Properties senior leasing director Mike Truesdale worked with Jason Rexinis, of Colliers, on the Woburn lease.

“We have a strong history with Jason and the Colliers team,” said Truesdale. “They understand the strength and flexibility of our portfolio, which allows us to deliver specialized, high-value spaces that align with each client’s unique operational needs.”

According to Truesdale, Tower Office Park offered the ideal combination of size, functionality, and convenience.

“Cummings’ diverse portfolio allows us to offer high-value space that’s the right size for the right use,” said Truesdale. “This Tower Office Park location provides private loading, convenient highway access via I-93 and I-95, and close proximity to SQ Innovation’s Burlington facility — all key factors for a growing life sciences firm.”
