Suffolk breaks ground on Curry College's 84,000 s/f student center

Curry College president Kenneth Quigley Jr., Suffolk Construction Company, Inc. CEO John Fish and 200 members of the Curry community recently gathered in a ceremonial groundbreaking for the construction of the college's new 84,000 s/f student center.
The new $35 million student center will feature recreational athletic facilities including a gymnasium and fitness center; locker rooms; athletic offices; expanded dining hall; student lounge; café; sports café with pub style seating and flat screen TVs; game room; study lounge; student services, SGA and student club offices and meeting areas; chapel; campus post office and copy and supply center; amphitheater style, multipurpose outdoor gathering space; and a campus bookstore.
Curry College is partnering with Suffolk Const. and CBT Architects on the new student center project. Construction of the student center began in March and is estimated to be completed in 14-18 months. At the conclusion of the construction, the existing student center will be razed.
