Sutton of NAI Hunneman represents Uber Technologies in 3,201 s/f lease

NAI Hunneman has brokered a 3,201s/f lease at 186 South St. to Uber Technologies. NAI Hunneman senior associate Ben Sutton represented Uber. The landlord, 186 Realty Trust, was self-represented. Based in San Francisco, Uber is an on-demand car service that allows users to request a ride via iPhone or Android applications, text messaging or the Web. The company is relocating to 186 South St. from the city's Seaport District. Located close to South Station in the city's Leather District, 186 South St. is a 38,000 s/f office building with ground-floor retail space. "We are very pleased to have helped Uber find top-quality space just outside of Boston's trendy Innovation District," said Sutton. "Uber's new South St. office has the added benefit of being close to the city's Financial District and South Station, providing a prime location at an affordable lease rate."
