TD Bank to open first RI branch; Kolb named RI market president

TD Bank will open a 4,000 s/f branch on County Rd. next month. This will be the banks first location in R.I.
TD Bank plans to open branches in East Providence, Johnston and Providence. The bank wants to build two dozens branches in R.I. over the next four years.
TD Bank is looking to hire commercial lenders, store managers, management office staff, customer-service representatives and tellers.
"TD Bank is thrilled to enter Rhode Island and provide its residents and businesses with the most convenient banking services in the state," said Fred Graziano, head of retail banking, TD Bank. "Rhode Island is a natural extension of our existing footprint, and we feel this state presents us with great opportunities to grow our franchise."
The bank's Rhode Island market president is Robert Kolb. He has 28 years of banking experience and currently serves as market president for TD Bank's central and western Mass. markets.
Supporting Kolb in Rhode Island will be Louise Trottier, senior vice president retail banking. Trottier will manage retail sales and service within the market. Presently, Trottier oversees TD Bank's retail banking operations in northeastern, central, and western Mass. Trottier has 34 years of banking experience and has been a member of the TD Bank team since 1996.
