The 8th annual Northeast Buildings & Facilities Management Show & Conference

The 8th annual Northeast Buildings & Facilities Management Show & Conference was held June 12th - 13th at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. The tradeshow was well attended, bringing together over 370 companies to exhibit products and services for the renovation, maintenance, operation and management of various buildings and facilities throughout Greater New England. Running concurrent to the tradeshow, the event featured an Educational Conference composed of 30 individual talks. Topics included: LEED, green, sustainability, facility maintenance, building commissioning, energy, renovation planning and construction. IFMA Boston continued the practice of monitoring sessions and providing applicable CFM credits to attendees. Following the first day of the conference and tradeshow, show producers, ProExpos hosted a cocktail hour and networking reception for all to enjoy. Joanne Trask of IFMA Boston was awarded a $5,000 college scholarship by ProExpos owner John Wright for their support of the show and conference since its inception. The winner of ProExpos Dream Sports Ticket Package was attendee Seth Levin, and Erica McLaughlin of exhibitor ACP Facility Services won an iPad. The event was sponsored by: IFMA Boston & Wessling Architects (Platinum Sponsors), Aegis Energy Services, Asphalt Services, Dec-Tam Environmental Services, EnviroVantage, Greener Horizon, J.C. The New England Real Estate Journal team hosted a Social Media Pavilion to involve attendees, speakers and exhibitors in up-to-date information, giveaways and communication via Twitter.
