The Connecticut/Western Massachusetts Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) acknowledges three new members who have been certified with the SIOR designation by the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.
Lawrence Levere has been admitted into the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, SIOR as an Office Specialist.
Levere, a graduate of the University of Connecticut and a licensed broker since 1985, joined Sentry Commercial Real Estate Services, Inc. in 2002. Prior to joining Sentry Commercial Levere was with Kuzmack-Williams and The Forstoffer Group in the Hartford area. Levere has assisted hundreds of office tenants and landlords with their real estate requirements throughout Connecticut in his 25 year career. He is very active in community service as he currently serves on the board of the Farmington Valley Association for Retarded and Handicapped (FAVARH) and the West Hartford YMCA. In addition Levere has coached in the West Hartford Youth Baseball League and Softball League for many years. Levere resides in West Harford with his wife Suzanne and their two children.

Jay Wamester has been admitted into the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, SIOR as an Office Specialist.
Wamester, a graduate from Assumption College and a licensed broker since 1987, joined Colliers in 2000. Prior to joining Colliers, Wamester was the top producer with The H. Pearce Company in the Hartford area. Wamester has assisted hundreds of office tenants and landlords with their real estate requirements throughout Connecticut in his 23 year career.
He is very active in the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors Commercial Council, serving as chairman for five years. Wamester resides in Hebron with his wife Colleen and their two children.

Thomas Marano has been admitted into the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, SIOR as an Associate Member.
Marano is a business development manager for Northeast Utilities (NU) of Berlin. He has been in economic development since 1992 starting as a loaned executive from Yankee Gas to the Connecticut Department of Economic Development where he served as a regional manager. At NU, he works with all companies from the Fortune 500 to local manufacturing and commercial businesses in helping them expand and grow in Connecticut. He also assists communities of all sizes with visioning and planning so they become the communities their residents desire.
He serves on various committees of regional economic development organizations and was selected to serve on Gov. M Jodi Rell's Commission on the Economic Diversification of Southeast Connecticut. He has authored articles on growth management strategies and the site selection process and spoken on various economic development topics including marketing, growth management and development ready communities.
Marano has a BA in economics from Brockport State University and an MA in economics from Syracuse University. He is very actively involved with the Salvation Army in Meriden and the Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services throughout the United States. Marano lives in Wallingford with his wife Roseann and their two sons.
