The Davis Companies names Coyle managing director of investor relations and marketing

Boston, MA The Davis Companies (TDC) has appointed real estate investment veteran Steve Coyle as managing director of investor relations and marketing. 

With 25 years of experience in portfolio management, investor relations, investment strategy and research, Coyle joins TDC to lead equity capital raising for the firm’s investment and development initiatives. In addition to expanding the company’s investor base and consultant and distribution relationships, Coyle will also oversee TDC’s investor relations team and have primary responsibility for all investor communications.

Coyle joins TDC following the completion of fundraising for TDC’s third discretionary co-mingled investment vehicle, Davis Investment Ventures Fund III, with $512 million in total commitments from institutional and high net worth investors.

Coyle previously served as senior vice president of portfolio management for Bentall Kennedy in Boston, where he was responsible for portfolio management, as well as sourcing and researching new investment opportunities. Prior to that, Coyle was the chief investment officer at Cohen & Steers Capital Management in New York, where he led all of the company’s private real estate investments, and expanded its global real estate business to include private real estate investments. Coyle also was a managing director at Citigroup Property Investors in New York and a principal at Property & Portfolio Research in Boston. 

Coyle holds a master of arts degree in Economic Policy from Boston University, and a bachelor of arts degree in Economics and German from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.

He is a co-chair of the Pension Real Estate Association’s Capital Markets Affinity Group, on the Urban Land Institute’s Industrial & Office Park Development Council Blue, and a member of Heading Home, an organization dedicated to combatting homelessness in Massachusetts.
