The Geenty Group, Realtors of Branford leased 6,400 s/f at 599 Middlesex Tpke. It is a two-story, colonial style office building almost adjacent to the Rte. 9 interchange at Exit 2. The tenant is Rolls-Royce Naval Marine, Inc. Michael Sexton is the regional property director for Rolls-Royce. The personnel of Rolls-Royce's Naval Marine division work around the globe as consultants and engineers to the shipping industry. Kevin Geenty, SIOR represented the landlord, SBS Properties, LLC. Kristin Geenty, SIOR and Michael Cook, SIOR of UGL-Equis of Indianapolis, Ind., represented the tenant. The landlord was represented by Thomas Cronan, Esq. The tenant was represented by an in-house attorney for Rolls-Royce.
In another transaction, Kevin Geenty, SIOR, vice president of The Geenty Group, Realtors brokered a 6,000 s/f short-term lease at 14 Beaver Rd., Branford to The New Haven Moving Equipment, Inc. The tenant distributes equipment to the moving and storage industry throughout the country, with multiple office locations from coast to coast. Kristin Geenty, SIOR of The Geenty Group, Realtors, represented the landlord, while Kevin Geenty, SIOR represented the tenant.

The Geenty Group also brokered a 1,293 s/f long-term lease at 17 Woodland Rd., Madison to Devon MacEachron, Abby Lipschutz, and Sally Hines. The tenants will provide psychological counseling to the Greater Shoreline Area and will renovate the former medical doctor's space to create a comfortable and efficient counseling center. Kristin Geenty, SIOR, and Kevin Geenty, SIOR represented the landlord, Salatto Real Estate, while Karen Stephens represented the tenant. Karen Stephens, the principal of Page Taft Realtors, pursued this lease with her client through numerous showings, meetings with contractors, and negotiations of lease details.
