August 19, 2016 - Connecticut

East Haven, CT The Geenty Group, Realtors, completed the sale of 158 Commerce St. The sale price was $1 million. The 41,654 s/f light industrial facility is sited on 3 acres in the East Haven Industrial Park. It was formerly home to FYC International, manufacturer of women’s apparel under several popular brands including Sunny Lee and Robby B.  Kevin Geenty SIOR represented the seller, Masu Realty, LLC.

Kristin Geenty SIOR represented the buyer, Anthony Augliera, Inc. which purchased the property as the new base of operations for Augliera Moving & Storage, relocating the company from its current location in West Haven.  In addition to traditional moving services, the 100-year old company is well known as a leading carting and storage service provider to the Broadway theatrical community and the entertainment industry as a whole – dating back to the vaudeville era.

In addition to brokering the sale, The Geenty Group, Realtors, worked closely with East Haven economic development director, Sal Brancati to help Augliera acquire an additional adjacent seven-acre lot from the town.

This transaction was greatly facilitated by the advocacy and speedy action by Brancati, the Zullo & Jacks Law Firm (the town’s attorney), the Planning & Zoning Commission, and other municipal employees which went above and beyond expectation.  Attorney Ronald Palumbo of Palumbo & De Laura Law of New Haven provided able counsel to the seller.
