The New England Chapter of Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI) celebrated their 11th annual Holiday Social, donating $15,000 to the foodservice program at the New England Center for Homeless Veterans.
Held at Davio's in downtown Boston, the sold-out event was attended by more than 100 industry colleagues and guests from the New England area and abroad. Also in attendance was Mark Gough, director of corporation & foundation relations for the New England Center for Homeless Veterans. "Our food service program is much more important than just a hot meal" said Gough, as he accepted the chapter's donation. "It's a crucial part of the reintegration process, fulfilling the basic need for food; it's only when that need is met that our Veterans can begin to take advantage of the other services we offer."

In addition to providing an array of programs and services that enable success and independent living, the NECHV also provides everyday basic necessities such as shelter and food, serving 133,248 meals last year alone. "We know the importance of foodservice operations" said Edward Arons, chairman of the local FCSI chapter and senior associate at Colburn & Guyette, a foodservice design firm based out of Rockland, Mass.
This donation was made possible through the loyal and generous support of their Gold level Sponsors: American Panel, C.R. Peterson, Continental Refrigeration, Dave Swain Associates, E3/4Top, Halton, Hatch-Jennings, Hobart/Traulsen/Vulcan, The Montague Group, True Food Service Equipment, and The Viola Group.
Their Silver level Sponsors: BSI, Earthstone Ovens, and Unified Brands. Our Bronze level sponsors: Air Solutions & Balancing, Alto-Shaam, Crowley Marketing, Custom Metals of Massachusetts, Interior Systems, Kittredge Foodservice Equipment, Marlo Manufacturing, Multiteria, Panasonic, Perlick, Scotsman, T&S Brass, and Wyllie Marketing. The New England Chapter of FCSI also made a sizeable contribution.
