The Procopio Companies has expanded Procopio Construction - led by Gogolin

Boston, MA The Procopio Companies (Procopio) has announced the expansion of Procopio Construction – the foundational construction division of the firm.

In a strategic move to leverage its construction expertise, Procopio Construction has strengthened its commitment to third-party projects and partners, with the dedicated construction services division being led by industry veteran Al Gogolin, who has been named executive vice president, project execution. This redefined and growing division of the company will operate independently to provide construction management and general contracting services to third-party owners and developers, institutional investors, and other real estate stakeholders.

Led by Gogolin, Procopio Construction leverages deep industry knowledge, a robust pre-construction and estimating process, and the latest technologies to deliver exceptional outcomes. The company’s approach emphasizes proactive collaboration, transparency, and efficiency at every phase of a project.

“Procopio Construction approaches every project with the mindset of a real estate owner, because at our core, we are one. We anticipate challenges before they arise, prioritize clarity in communication, and focus relentlessly on delivering value,” said Al Gogolin, Executive Vice President of Project Execution. “We’re not just building structures; we’re building long-term partnerships grounded in trust, accountability, and performance. This new emphasis allows us to expand that mission to a broader client base while continuing to raise the bar on quality and execution.”

Recently completed and current projects include: Vesa, a 140 unit three building apartment development in Marlboro, MA; Amara, a 60-unit, luxury multifamily building in the heart of Beverly, MA; The Alice, a thoughtfully designed 50 unit condominium which anchors a three building mixed use development and includes a freestanding Starbucks and a medical office building in Wilmington, MA; and 103 Cottage Street, a 25-unit multifamily development in Lynn, MA.

Procopio Construction will continue to manage construction for The Procopio Companies in-house projects. "Construction is where it all began for our family, and it's still the backbone of everything we do," said Michael Procopio, CEO of The Procopio Companies. "With Procopio Construction, we're formalizing a capability that has long been a strength of our business. By applying the same level of care and precision that we bring our developments to outside projects, we’re offering clients a true partner—one that understands their goals because we've been in their shoes."

This evolution enhances Procopio’s growing portfolio of award-winning multifamily communities and supports the firm’s vision for holistic, full-cycle real estate delivery, from site selection to long-term management.
