Timberline Construction hires Dutra-Kelly and McCarthy as directors

Canton, MA In support of tremendous growth, Timberline Construction has hired two new strategic directors to continue the firm’s momentum, Kerri Dutra-Kelly as director of human resources and Shannon McCarthy as director of marketing. 

Dutra-Kelly brings over twenty years of strategic and hands-on leadership to Timberline’s human resources department, working collaboratively to build talent and organizational capabilities. Prior to joining Timberline, she served as the chief human resources officer at Admirals Bank in Providence. She will be responsible for leading the human resources functions while actively participating in our corporate social responsibility and culture club teams.

Since starting at Timberline, Kerri has already implemented a variety of development programs, including a rotational training program to give employees an insight to every aspect of the business. She holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and a B.A. in Psychology from Boston College. Additionally, Kerri is a Certified Professional Coach and an active member in the Society for Human Resources Management and New England Human Resources Association.

McCarthy brings over fifteen years of marketing experience and strategic leadership to Timberline’s Marketing department. As the leader of Timberline’s brand strategy and communications efforts, McCarthy is responsible for managing all of the firm’s marketing initiatives. 

This includes building and executing strategic marketing plans and campaigns to support Timberline’s overall business objectives to advance awareness in the marketplace.

Shannon’s marketing career focus has been in the real estate, design and construction sectors. Prior to joining Timberline, Shannon spent ten years working in commercial real estate with JLL and most recently as the New England Director of Marketing & Communications for Cushman & Wakefield. Shannon received her bachelors from Denison University with a focus in Communication, as well as a Certificate of Interior Design from the New York School of Design. 

Both Dutra-Kelly and McCarthy will also work with Timberline Communications, Inc., a sister company to Timberline Construction, focusing in providing telecommunications and wireless services to clients throughout the Northeast region. 

Timberline’s CEO, Steven Kelly said, “Over the past five years Timberline’s employee headcount has more than doubled and we plan to continue our growth to $200 million in projects over the next five years. With this increase and the expansion of our client base throughout the Northeast, Kerri and Shannon will be key additions to the leadership team. Their depth of experience will help strengthen Timberline’s message and build future initiatives in support of continued growth for the company.”
