Cambridge, MA Tocci Building Companies has completed construction on a 6,500 s/f Tissue Culture Laboratory at 179 Sidney St. The new space was completed on behalf of Q-State Biosciences, a biotechnology therapeutics and diagnostics utilizing its proprietary optical and stem technology.

Tocci provided design coordination and construction management services while working collaboratively with Jones Architecture, Inc., and AHA Consulting Engineers. Notably, Tocci utilized its Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) tools to develop accurate mechanical drawings, which helped to deliver the efficient and high-quality space.

“Q-State Biosciences is an innovative company that required an innovative builder,” said Greg Cerino, Tocci senior cost engineer. “We are pleased to have worked with Q-State on this unique project and look forward to collaborating in the future.”

Q-State Biosciences’ new Tissue Culture Laboratory features a general washing area, media preparation, sterilization, and storage area, environmentally controlled incubators, and an observation/data collection area.
