Toll Brothers Apartment Living acquires prop. from Smith Legacy

Belmont, MA Toll Brothers, Inc., through its Toll Brothers Apartment Living subsidiary, purchased Cushing Village from Smith Legacy Partners. The purchase of Cushing Village marks the third project in the greater Boston area for Toll Brothers Apartment Living.

Toll Brothers’s newest project in the Boston metro area will consist of three buildings containing 115 apartment homes that range in size from studios to two-bedroom residences. The community will have amenities including a courtyard, roof decks, open air plazas, on-site fitness center, and walkability to restaurants and retail. Additionally, the project will offer 37,500 s/f of street level retail including a Starbucks.

“The town of Belmont is an ideal place to continue our expansion into the Boston metro area,” said Charles Elliott, managing director, Toll Brothers Apartment Living. “We’re excited to work with the town in seeing the vision through and appreciate the efforts of the Belmont Board of Selectmen and Planning Board.”

“I am pleased that the town, working together with Toll Brothers Apartment Living, has been able to make this important project for the town of Belmont a reality,” said Mark Paolillo, chair of the Belmont Board of Selectmen.

“This project, with the combination of residential living and retail amenities, will bring additional vibrancy and economic vitality to the Cushing Square area,” said David Kale, Belmont town administrator.

Planning to break ground in 2017, the first phase of the development is slated to deliver in 2018.
