Needham, MA According to NAIOP Massachusetts, Suzanne Trainor has joined the team as a government affairs associate. This expansion of the organization’s staff reinforces its commitment to representing the industry and advocating on its behalf. She will work closely with Tamara Small, senior vice president, government affairs at NAIOP as well as CEO David Begelfer. Trainor comes to NAIOP with experience in public policy and government relations from the International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA).

“Suzanne’s political savvy and experience with association advocacy will allow us to strengthen our government affairs work,” said Tamara Small, Senior Vice President, Government Affairs at NAIOP. “We look forward to expanding our research capabilities and our input on regulatory and legislative issues affecting the commercial real estate industry.”

Prior to her work at IHRSA, Trainor worked in political organizing and at the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, DC. She earned a B.A. in political science from Wellesley College and has a certificate as a paralegal from Boston University. Additionally, she is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration at Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School. A Massachusetts native, Trainor was raised in Sherborn and now resides in Brookline.

NAIOP Massachusetts, the commercial real estate development association, represents the interests of companies involved with the development, ownership, management, and financing of commercial properties.
