Union Square Donuts opens first South Shore location at Derby Street Shops

Hingham, MA Union Square Donuts, the Somerville-based donut shop, opened its first South Shore location September 2, at Derby St. Shops. Drawing guests from Boston to Cape Cod, Derby Street is a South Shore lifestyle destination, bringing together the shopping, dining, fitness and outdoor experiences. Union Square Donuts is a sweet addition to the mix, giving guests another reason to make a day of their visit.

Founded in 2012, Union Square Donuts has built a devoted following across Greater Boston for its creative flavors and from-scratch approach. Every donut is made fresh daily, with glazes, jams, and toppings prepared in-house using high-quality ingredients.

The Derby Street location offers Union Square Donuts’ signature mix of nostalgic favorites and bold creations, including Brown Butter Hazelnut, Honey Glazed, Sea Salt Whiskey Caramel and Boston Cream, along with vegan options and its recently launched Peanut Butter and Jelly Donut, just in time for the start of the new school year. 

Union Square Donuts at Derby Street Shops is located at 94 Derby St., next to Crate & Barrel. 

Opening day also marked the arrival of the Apple Cider Cake Donut, and new fall menu featuring Apple Crisp a la Mode, Back to School Sprinkles, Vegan Chai Apple Cider, Pumpkin Spice Latte Donut and more

The shop’s beverage program includes drip coffee, cold brew, espresso drinks, lattes, matcha and a rotating lineup of seasonal specialty drinks. This fall, guests can try the Fluffernutter Latte, Pumpkin Spice Matcha and housemade Hot Mulled Apple Cider. Derby Street will also introduce Union Square Donuts’ new “Dirty Soda” category with three all new drinks:Coco-Lime, Raspberry Lime Rickey and Call the Doctor.

Guests can also place advance orders for catering and custom donuts for parties, office gatherings and other events.
