Vanderweil Engineers acquires CCR Pyramid

Vanderweil Engineers has acquired CCR Pyramid Inc., a 20-person consulting practice that specializes in technology infrastructure, audiovisual, CCTV, and security design.
CCR Pyramid was established in 1984 and is based in Waltham. Staff will relocate to the Boston headquarters of Vanderweil, located on Summer St.
CCR Pyramid's founder and principal, Michael Kerwin, will become a principal with Vanderweil and will lead technology-related services firmwide. The firm began operating under the Vanderweil name effective June 3.
"Michael Kerwin has been a visionary in technology services in our industry," said Eli Sherman, CEO of Vanderweil. "His expertise will be instrumental in assisting our public- and private-sector clients in addressing challenging and evolving needs in security and advanced technology."
CCR Pyramid's portfolio includes numerous projects for clients in education, technology, finance, and real estate development as well as government agencies at all levels. Projects completed with Vanderweil prior to the acquisition include the District of Columbia Consolidated Forensic Laboratory, Washington, D.C.; Harvard University Sherman Fairchild Biochemistry & Bauer Laboratory Buildings, Cambridge, Mass.; and Baystate Medical Center, Hospital of the Future, Springfield, Mass.
