Vantage Builders donates $50,000 to Fisher House Boston through fore Charity Golf Classic

Waltham, MA Vantage Builders, Inc. hosted its fourth annual Vantage Builders fore Charity Golf Classic tournament, with 100 golfers taking part in the shotgun tournament held at Franklin Country Club on August 11.

The tournament raised $50,000 for this year’s charitable partner, Fisher House Boston. Fisher House Boston is dedicated to providing free lodging and compassionate support to military families receiving medical care in Boston. To date, Vantage Builders has raised more than $120,000 for its charitable partners through the fore Charity Golf Classic.

“Fisher House Boston is proud any time we can partner with members of the community to further our mission,” said Jennifer DeLuca, executive director for Fisher House Boston. “The support from Vantage Builders’ fore Charity Golf Tournament will have a direct impact in the lives of military affiliated patients and their families during medical hardship in Boston, no matter where they are coming from.”

The tournament reception featured Medal of Honor recipient Sargeant Ryan Pitts, who shared his remarkable story of courage and sacrifice, having distinguished himself through extraordinary acts of heroism during combat operations in Afghanistan on July 13, 2008. On September 23, Vantage welcomed DeLuca to its office to present the donation check, on behalf of the tournament’s generous 39 sponsors.

“We were very excited this year to partner with Fisher House Boston, which is doing such remarkable work for veterans and their families every day,” said John Connor, principal, Vantage Builders. “Their dedication to their mission is very impressive. I’d like to thank all the golfers and sponsors of this year’s tournament for their generous support of Fisher House Boston.”
