Vantage Builders finishes 23,000 s/f Casa Systems headquarters renovation

Vantage Builders, Inc. completed a 23,000 s/f headquarters renovation for Casa Systems, Inc. at 100 Old River Rd. The project cost was approximately $1 million. Vantage was hired to renovate the second and third floors of the building to allow Casa Systems to expand its footprint from the first floor. The company required additional space to accommodate its growth. Earlier this year Casa purchased the three-story, Class A office building. Vantage began by gutting the two floors, to create an open area to build on plans from project architects, McGuinness Group. A glass staircase was built between the second and third floors, to enable collaboration among the team. The office features high-end millwork and translucent partitions from 3form provide an intriguing design element while also boosting the interior's natural light. Union Office Interiors furnished the location, choosing Allsteel products, including seating, conference room furniture, workstations and the reception station. The expanded space features 22 offices and room for 97 workstations. Four conference rooms and a 16-person board room were created to support Casa Systems' extremely busy environment. A new presentation room that accommodates 60 people also serves as a lunch room, providing a nice place for employees to gather. Given the number of computers and servers in use at the networking company, Vantage performed significant electrical and mechanical work. The firm completely reconfigured the office mechanical systems to ensure they were up to code. A pre-action fire sprinkler system, which protects computer equipment from accidental activation, was installed in the server room. The server room was also outfitted with a separate cooling system. "We are fortunate to work for some of the most interesting technology companies in the region, such as Casa Systems," said Ed Silva, principal, Vantage Builders. "Their new headquarters space not only supports its tremendous growth, it also reflects the energy of the company."
