The Conrad Group has recently negotiated the sale of 2182 Washington St. The 2,185 s/f building, a former gas station, is being converted to an Italian food store specializing in prepared foods known as Alfredo's.
The new buyer, Alfredo Aiello has other retail stores located in Quincy and Norwell.
According to Dan Waldman, vice president of The Conrad Group, "Canton has long been targeted by the Aiello family. This location is ideal for their operation due to its excellent visibility and access. The town of Canton granted a Special Permit to convert the former gas station after reviewing the success of the company."
Renovations should begin shortly and the hope is that the new store will be operational in February 2010.
Waldman was assisted in the sale by Cindy Cowing, sales associate with The Conrad Group. The firm represented both parties in this transaction. According to the Norfolk Registry of Deeds, the sale price was $480,000.
