Walker Development expands D9 division

Marlborough, MA Walker Development & Construction Management, Inc. has expanded its self-performing division, D9 Construction Services.

“As our company continues to flourish and offer top-rated construction management services, so has the evolution of our self-performing team. In the last year, we have hired 8 more people to D9,” said Nick Poirier, president, and principal of Walker. “Our self-performing team gives clients access to the resources of a general contractor with direct subcontractor pricing for a variety of services.”

Recognizing the need and a niche, Walker Development formed D9 Construction Services to tackle smaller projects that don’t require the full oversight of a general contractor.

“The beauty of it is that we have found increased quality in our work with our “self-performers” that support our construction projects or as a stand-alone D9 hire,” said Poirier.

Highly regarded, D9 Construction Services offers a cost- effective way to address small projects including maintenance and repair, painting, drywall, ceiling, selective demolition, and apartment refurbishment.

For larger complex projects, Walker Development & Construction Management continues to provide full-service construction management and design build services and solutions with the highest level of quality and integrity to the New England region.

“We like to make our client’s lives easier and when D9 independently walks through the door WD certified and trained and ready to work in any space, we know they are in good hands.”
