Washington Trust Company hires Aldi as vice president commercial real estate

New Haven, CT John Paul “JP” Aldi has joined The Washington Trust Company (Washington Trust) as vice president, commercial real estate, based in the bank’s New Haven office. In this role, Aldi is responsible for originating and structuring commercial real estate and construction loans across a broad range of asset classes.

Aldi has more than a decade of experience in commercial real estate lending and underwriting. Most recently he managed a substantial commercial real estate portfolio for a regional Connecticut-based bank, where he originated and closed large-scale commercial mortgages and construction lines of credit, consistently ranking among the top producers in his group. Earlier in his career, he worked in commercial real estate brokerage and multifamily mortgage underwriting.

“JP brings a deep understanding of commercial real estate finance to our team,” said Bethany Lyons, Washington Trust senior vice president and managing director, commercial real estate. “He is well prepared to support our clients and our existing portfolio with the thoughtful approach that defines our company.”
