Washington Trust expanded its commercial lending group by appointing Jason Costa, and Jay Farland as new vice presidents and commercial lenders. They will be headquartered at the bank's Weybosset St. office. Both will be responsible for developing and maintaining commercial banking relationships throughout the bank's market area in southern New England.
Costa has more than 15 years of commercial banking experience, most recently with Citizens Financial Group. During his banking career, he has worked closely with distributors, manufacturers, medical practices, and professional service firms. He holds an M.B.A from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College.
Farland has more than 18 years of banking experience, most recently as relationship manager with Citizens Bank, and holds a Bachelor's Degree from Bryant University.
