Bruce Waters, CCIM, senior broker for LANG MCLAUGHRY COMMERCIAL, sold the former White River Junction, VT bowling alley to their client, "The Car Store," through a real estate holding company affiliate, TCSVT, LLC.
Car Store owner Richard MacLeay purchased the 7-acre property with a 50,000 s/f pre-engineered steel frame structure to create an automotive center, providing sales, service, car washing and related automotive ancillary businesses. The facility is currently going through a design review and will accommodate immediate pre-owned car sales and other services, adding the Subaru Dealership within a year, from their current Norwich, Vt. showroom.
Waters said, "We did a multiple year search for this type of facility and when the bowling alley property became available, it was a natural to accommodate "The Car Store's future business plan." The facility is located on Sykes Avenue, just minutes from the intersection of I-89 or I-91 in White River Junction, which is the center of the 30 mile radius "Upper Valley" market.
The sale has been recorded at $1.494 million.
