Bishop West Real Estate, one of the leading commercial investment brokerage firms in the Berkshires, has completed the sale of the former McBride Funeral Home. The sale included 3 parcels with 3 buildings at the downtown location. The property sold for $65,000.
Peter West, CCIM, SEC and Corey Bishop, SEC, represented the seller of the property, Anthony McBride. The buyers, John Hauser and Linda Rapoza, were represented by an outside broker. The buyers intend on using the property as a residence and eventually plan on opening an art school.
The property had been vacant since the funeral home closed in 2011. It was comprised of three parcels which included two former residences that were combined by a common porch and the third parcel contained a two story carriage barn. The property had fallen into disrepair over the past few years.
Bishop West Real Estate, founded in 2001, has their corporate office in Adams. They represent clients through a counseling approach and represent investors nationally.
