Weston Solutions, Inc. launched G4, an innovative GreenGrid green roof product that improves the design simplicity, flexibility, aesthetic appeal, and stormwater retention capabilities GreenGrid is known for.
Heavy rainfalls produce runoff that overtax sanitary and stormwater systems resulting in flooding and surface water impacts. Vegetated green roofs help but the G4 takes it to a new level. It can mitigate up to 5,300 gallons of stormwater from a typical 1-inch rainfall on a 10,000 s/f GreenGrid installation—23% more than previous GreenGrid modules.
With its zero-edge design and module edges that are nearly invisible beneath a mature pre-vegetated green roof, G4 provides beauty upon installation, while improving energy efficiency and reducing the urban heat island effect.
GreenGrid consists of 2 foot by 2 foot modular trays made of 100% recycled materials. Modules, offered in
4-, 6-, and 8-inch depths, are delivered pre-vegetated, and placed directly on a roof's waterproofing membrane. Unlike layered-style and hybrid systems, GreenGrid is completely modular, allowing easy roof access if maintenance is needed.
GreenGrid Green Roof System is a proprietary technology of ABC Supply Co., Inc., licensed exclusively in the U.S. and Canada to Weston Solutions, Inc.
