The greatest professional accomplishment of the City of Warwick in 2016 was to end the fiscal year 2016 budget with an estimated surplus of $7.796 million. This brings our overall unrestricted fund balance to an estimated $15.9 million, the highest fund balance in recent history. This positive change in reserves allows our rating agencies to see the fiscal stability of our community. And it also illustrates our commitment to balanced budgeting.
