William Raveis holds its 38th Annual Awards Ceremony recognizing its associates, loan officers and employees

William Raveis Real Estate held its 38th Annual Awards Ceremony, recognizing the achievements of its associates, loan officers and employees. The ceremony was a full morning event, held at Scinto Auditorium, in downtown. Associates and employees cheered as William Raveis opened the ceremony with a spirited video montage of past awards and awards winners. As the ceremony continued, top managers, mortgage bankers and administrative managers were lauded for their efforts and contributions to the company in 2011. When the room stood to clap for a stage full of award-winners, William Raveis added a unique level of energy, playing music from famous house djs in the background. "This was likely one of the most energetic, fun Awards Ceremonies we've had in our 38 years of doing business," said Bill Raveis, chairman and CEO of William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage & Insurance. "The Awards is a time when we reflect upon the successes of our talented associates, mortgage bankers and staff. This ceremony did that and more." Raveis paused to talk about some of the challenges the real estate industry faced in 2011. "2011 was a year of fits and starts in the real estate industry. The incredible success of our team is a testament to the fact that they are poised for achievement, no matter the state of the market." Some of the major award-winners included: * Manager of the Year for Conn.- Thora Colburn, William Raveis Madison & Old Saybrook * Manager of the Year for Mass.-David Friend, William Raveis Hingham & Scituate * Entrepreneur of the Year- Pete Fickeisen, executive mortgage banker, William Raveis Boston, Hingham/Provincetown and Nantucket * Top Mortgage Banker by Closed Volume-John Grosso, executive mortgage banker, William Raveis Westport, with $65 million
