Portland, ME Representing Maine Mead Works, Lee Nelsen and Jesse Field of Fishman Realty Group Inc. brokered a lease for 8,584 s/f of retail space at 51 Washington Ave. The space, which is owned by A&M Partners LLC of Portland is currently undergoing renovation from its original use as a warehouse facility and loading dock for J.J. Nissen bakers.

The Maine Mead Works lease signing marks one of Portland's largest on-peninsula retail transactions year-to-date.

"I think it is clearly a sign of changing times. This goes beyond just filling a vacancy... Maine Mead Works is a vibrant growing company that is planting its roots in Portland," said Nelsen.

Maine Mead Works plans to open its doors at the new location in September. The new facility will allow for production, storage, and a retail tasting room.
