Toast to St. Jude - May 6

Boston young professionals to gather for kids battling cancer, other life-threatening diseases

Evening of networking, entertainment to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®

Boston, MA More than 500 young professionals from the Boston area are anticipated to attend the fifth annual Toast to St. Jude event presented by Suffolk Construction at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, at the Aloft Boston Seaport.

The evening of cocktails, dancing and fundraising benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, which is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Since the inaugural Toast to St. Jude four years ago, generous donors have raised a total of $125,000. This year’s goal was set at $75,000, but incredible demand and hard work from the committee has surged their projection to bring the cumulative five year total to over $235,000. Thanks to events like this one, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

“It’s heartwarming to see what started as a gathering of 150 close friends grow into something so much larger because people want to make a difference in the lives of St. Jude kids,” said founder and co-chair Anthony Nader. “We are grateful to seen new faces every year and appreciate the increased sponsor commitments because it supports advances made at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital that are saving children everywhere.”

In addition to Suffolk Construction, other sponsors include Longwood Group, Jessica's Brick Oven, People's United Bank, RSM, Greystar, PCA and Whole Foods Market.

Tickets are available online and at the door. Attendees must be 21 or older. To make a donation or purchase a ticket, visit stjude.org/toasttostjude.
