JM Coull begins work renovation at West Concord Union Church

Concord, MA JM Coull (JMC), in collaboration with Maugel Architects, has begun renovations and an addition at the West Concord Union Church.  The multifaceted project involves interior and exterior renovations that will increase safety, energy efficiencies, accessibility, and utility of the church.

“We are pleased to work with a local community church right in our own backyard,” said project manager Marielba Beltran. “It’s such a warm and inviting place, and they do so much to give back. This renovation will modify some of the more outdated portions of the building, making it easier for the congregation to gather and continue their good works within the community.”

The church has been a neighborhood fixture for more than a century, and is known for its inclusivity and welcoming spirit. As a local landmark, it has been servicing the area since 1894, holding services on Sundays and supporting the community through service and financial donations.

The church is actively involved in local organizations such as Minute Man Arc for Human Services, Concord Prison Outreach, and Alcoholics Anonymous, and supports area families of military personnel.
