Novogradac & Co. signs 5,200 s/f lease with Cummings Properties

Andover, MA Novogradac & Company LLP, a certified public accounting and consulting firm with more than 20 locations nationwide, will open its second office in the state this month. The firm leased a 5,200 s/f space at 40 Shattuck Rd. with Cummings Properties, and will take occupancy mid-month. The company will maintain its office at 101 Arch St. in Boston.

Novogradac serves a broad range of industries, with an emphasis in the real estate sector. The firm provides publicly and privately held national enterprises with audit, tax, valuation, expert witness and litigation support, property compliances, and general consulting services. The more than 25-year-old company also works extensively in the affordable housing, community development, historic preservation, and renewable energy fields.

“Strategically, Andover is a good fit for Novogradac,” said Cummings Properties leasing director Mike Truesdale, who worked on the lease with Robert LeClair of Boston Realty Advisors. “With Shattuck Road being so easily accessible from the highway, it extends the firm’s reach farther north along the I-93 corridor and into other New England markets.”

Cummings Properties acquired the 120,000 s/f three-story commercial building in June. The first-class office/R&D building is in a well-known business community at the intersection of I-93 and River Rd., across from Minuteman Park.

In addition to Novogradac, other Andover-based leasing clients include Agri-Mark/Cabot Creamery, Woodard & Curran, and Caradigm.

Cummings Properties’ portfolio of 11 million s/f of prime space accommodates offices, healthcare facilities, labs, restaurants, retail storefronts, warehouses, co-working spaces, executive suites, and more. With a portfolio of this size and variety, the firm can meet almost any commercial real estate need from 150 s/f to 300,000 s/f. Its in-house experts in design, construction, and property management offer “one-stop shopping” for leasing clients.
