The first job, I bid on home relocation, I received and we found that by working with the contractor, the zoning board, utilities, etc., this could be a lucrative field. In four years, we bought, moved, rebuilt, and sold over 400 homes. For example: a $20,000 home could be bought for $3,500. After we had moved it to a new lot and rebuilt it, the margin of profit was quite high.” In 1964, Buzz went into apartment construction in Weymouth, MA, a small, but growing area on the South Shore side of Boston. Today, he has three properties already completed consisting of 128 units; 90 under construction; an office building ready to go and is planning a high-rise and shopping center. Buzz is a third generation in the real estate trade. He finds the time to play softball and basketball and do appraising for the Workingmens Cooperative Bank. When asked to comment on his future ambitions, he said, “Just to stay a few steps behind Tom Flatley.”
