Education: Amherst, Yale School of Forestry Its difficult to harness the rugged outdoorsman into an executive position, but once R.M. Bradley had corralled Gordon Hall into its investment real estate department it was well worth the effort. One of New England’s more active brokers, Hall attended the Yale School of Forestry and in 1953 became affiliated with the Parkwood Laminate Company in advertising and sales. An avid skier, he and his wife began buying, selling and developing Vermont ski property – Holiday Homes, which is still being operated today by his wife and a friend. Gordon found that real estate intrigued him and in 1960 joined R.M. Bradley, a large Boston company. Today, a vice president in charge of investments, Hall deals in income and development properties, especially office and retail. He has also become quite active in the urban renewal field, one which Bradley had not become involved in previously. “It takes at least four years to make money on one project in urban renewal.” “The great advantage with working with a company like Bradley is that they have at least one expert in every field of the business. Because of this, we never have to turn away a project. Right now I am working on a shopping center. There is also land for an office building which will be handled by someone else in the firm.” Gordon recalls his first commission of $2,000 selling land for an Atlantic Service station in 1961. His most recent transaction ran to over $1 million in price – the sale of the Woolworth Building in Cambridge. Married with four boys, the Halls reside in Nahant, enjoy skiing, fly fishing, white water canoeing, tennis and squash. A Realtor, Gordon is a Governor of the Tennis & Racquet Club.
