March 26: Building Up Downtown Crossing After many delays and false starts, Downtown Crossing is poised to be transformed into a 24/7 mixed-use neighborhood. Following a successful educational community expansion, construction of new residential towers and the opening of several unique retail concepts are now underway along Washington St. New ownership is breathing life into the Filene's development, and the city's Business Improvement District is taking initiatives to enhance the overall image of the area. Hear from panelists who are responsible for planning, developing and transforming this city center.
