05-09-2013 - Connecticut Mortgage Bankers Association, Inc. presents Mayor's Forum on May 9th at Aqua Turf Club

On Thursday, May 9th city and town officials from throughout the state will assemble to discuss affordable housing issues in the state.
"Housing CT: A Mayor's Forum on Affordable Housing" is the 8th annual program sponsored by the CT Mortgage Bankers Association, Inc. (CMBA) Affordable Housing Committee; CT Association of Realtors, Inc. (CAR); CT Housing Coalition (CHC) and Partnership for Strong Communities (PSC).
The forum will be held on May 9th with breakfast and registration at 8:30 a.m., program to begin at 9 a.m. at the Aqua Turf Club, 556 Mulberry St.
The forum is expected to generate a lively discussion and debate on issues communities face in making housing available to low and moderate income families. The following community leaders will participate in the panel discussion:
* The honorable Ernest Eldridge, mayor of Willimantic;
* The honorable Mark Lauretti, mayor of Shelton;
* The honorable Cathy Osten, first selectman of Sprague;
* The honorable Pedro Segarra, mayor of Hartford; and
* The honorable Timothy O'Brien, mayor of New Britain.
The cost of the forum is $45 for CMBA, CAR, CHC and PST members; $65 for non members.
