On Wednesday, August 13, the Real Estate Finance Association (REFA) will hold their Summer Reception at Holland & Knight's rooftop patio. Close to 100 real estate finance professionals will gather to enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and networking in a casual and fun atmosphere.
This fall, REFA will hold many great events including the Annual Fall Conference featuring Hans Nordby managing director at PPR, a REFA Fundamentals with Lori Mabardi, research director at JLL, the REFA Gala honoring Pam Herbst of AEW Capital Management and an Industry Leaders Luncheon with Anthony Frammartino, principal of The Townsend Group and much more!
On Friday, September 5, REFA will hold their Annual Fall Conference at the Westin in Waltham. After a keynote address by Hans Nordby, managing director of PPR, Frank Petz, managing director, capital markets of JLL will moderate a panel discussion on the Boston suburban markets. The panel of some of the most active players in the suburban markets will discuss overall market influences, development projects and the current financing environment. Panelists include: Justin Krebs, partner, Normandy Real Estate Partners; Edward Marsteiner, partner & director of acquisitions, National Development; Richard Monopoli, vice president, development, Boston Properties and Doug MacLean, senior vice president - commercial lending, First Niagara Bank
A highlight of REFA's fall calendar is The Annual REFA Gala which will be held on Thursday, October 2 at Westin Copley Place. Over 500 real estate finance professionals will gather for one of the best networking events of the season!
Pam Herbst, Managing Director and Head of the Direct Investment Group at AEW Capital Management will be the recipient of the Robert S. Swain Jr. Distinguished Service Award.
Herbst will join an elite list in the real estate community of past recipients; most recently past mayor Thomas Menino in 2013, Joe Fallon of the Fallon Company in 2012, Thomas Hynes of Colliers International in 2011, and Thomas DeSimone of WS Development in 2010.
