10-14-2014 - Cherrytree Group to host conference October 14

The Cherrytree Group, atax credit broker, syndicator and consulting firm, will hold their first western Massachusetts conference, discussing "Obtaining a Brownfields: Why You May Be Closer than You Think," on October 14 at the Springfield Sheraton Hotel (Monarch Place, Springfield). The conference is scheduled to run from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.; full breakfast will be served. The Springfield conference will include the same programming as the company's Boston Tax Credit Conference held earlier this year, and is intended to accommodate western Massachusetts-based LSPs and environmental professionals. The event will feature a panel of guest speakers, including Kerry Bowie (director of Brownfields and environmental justice, Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection), Richard Cote, P.E., LSP (principal and manager of engineering, Comprehensive Environmental Inc.), and Warren Kirshenbaum (president of Cherrytree Group). Cherrytree Group will provide 2.0 technical credits for attending LSPs. (The event is free for non-credit-seeking attendees and $60 for LSPs registering for credit.) "The brownfields conference we held this spring in Boston was such a great success that we thought it made sense to offer this event to western Massachusetts professionals," said Warren Kirshenbaum. "We're looking forward to discussing specific situations relevant to the region as we also work to clarify this beneficial but easily misunderstood tax credit opportunity." The Cherrytree Group is a group of entities that offer tax credit consulting, brokerage, syndication, and specialty finance services. Offices are located in Newton, convenient to I-95. Through the years Cherrytree Group has worked with both major developers and small general contractors, LSP's, engineers, individuals, and investment partnerships to assist them in applying for, securing, and monetizing available Federal and State tax credits.
