2017 Annual Review: Robert Marcus of Robert Marcus Real Estate Co.

What was your greatest professional accomplishment in 2017? Increasing our charitable contributions for 2017, company growth and expansion into locations outside of Massachusetts.

What was your most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2017? We had several projects that came in on time and finished under budget. Our properties are full and some have a waiting list. We continue to upgrade buildings to create additional equity for our clients.

What are your predictions for commercial real estate in 2018? The market should continue to be strong.  If interest rates continue to rise there will be an adverse effect on pricing; the introduction of more apartment and condominium inventory will be cause for concern; and 10 year notes becoming due will cause marginal properties to show signs of stress or strain.
