2017 Women in Real Estate Spotlight - Corinne Maleski

Corinne Maleski

Years in real estate: 14

What real estate associations or organizations are you a member of: M3 Coalition, CoreNet NE

How do you play your strengths to your advantage in your career: My exposure to design and color started early thanks to my mother’s talents in floral arranging and quilting.  Through education and experience, my natural design strengths have grown into a passion for guiding clients through all of the decisions they must make during a project.   Partnering with the team and discerning how they want the space to function, look, feel and sound is the first part of the equation.  Helping to narrow down from endless design and material options into a few schemes has become second nature for me over the years, and I really enjoy the process.

What trends are you seeing so far this year: We continue to hear the desire to design spaces that allow employees to connect and collaborate in a flexible setting. Our clients want to achieve the perfect balance of open and private spaces. This enduring trend has pushed manufacturers to offer a wide variety of creative products.  Innovative furniture pieces like mobile booths and benches, attractive sound baffling and sophisticated technology are all being used to foster collaboration and provide underlying user comfort.  Additionally, NeoCon 2017 reflected that grays are still around, but wood tones are back!  We are seeing beautiful textures, intricate patterning and concentrated colors being welcomed in the workplace.

What do you do for fun? I especially enjoy time with my family.  In addition, fitness, baking, party planning and flowers also make me happy!
