How have you navigated obstacles to achieve success in your career: Being a women in an industry that is historically male-dominated presents its challenges, however through my career at Shawmut, I have learned that adopting the company-wide practice of creativity and confidence has allowed me to feel as I am part of a team. I have used this creativity in how I interact with my project team—addressing and resolving issues, presenting solutions, and delivering exceptional results for our clients. As a woman in the industry, being confident is just as important as being competent—and I think it’s working through continuous collaboration in our offices and on-site.
