What aspects of working from home have you enjoyed most? Actually seeing my wife and kids in the morning before school and getting in some morning workouts. I also found the loss of commuting time made up for some of the inefficiencies that I initially experienced.

 

What is the best advice you have received, and who was it from? When I was in grammar school, my brother and I “borrowed” something of my father’s that we weren’t supposed to have. He found out and lectured us. He asked us what we thought the most important thing a person can have is. After listing nonsense things like “a Nintendo,” he set us straight. “It’s your reputation…it will follow you wherever you go. If you take things from people without asking, you’ll earn the reputation of a thief and be treated accordingly.” I’ve thought about that many times throughout my life and have the speech ready for my kids if necessary.
