What led you to your current profession? Earlier in my career I had worked as a retail manager for a very long time. I started to realize that the only part of my job that I really enjoyed was the visual aspect, so I began to look for a career where I could really focus on that. As a project designer with Office Gallery, my new career gives me everything I love to do in a job – help customers and create designs – my two favorite things!
What advice can you offer to someone who is interested in a career in your industry? Go for it! If you love design and are passionate about customer service, I would highly recommend someone to make that change – it’s so worth it! I would also advise that professionals in this field need to be a good listener and have patience – to best be able to create something that your clients will love! Finally, be sure to do your research – on Pinterest, and through other design publications – to make sure you’re on the right page with what your client is looking for.
