2022 Ones to Watch: Zack Rotkiewicz, Safety Officer at Tecta America NE & WeatherGuard

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? We’re proud that Tecta America WeatherGuard recently earned a bronze award for workplace safety from NESCA, having only one lost workday incident in 51,532 man-hours worked in 2021. Because we make safety a top priority, our roofing teams are able to put what they learn to use on the job site to keep themselves and each other safe.

What does it take to succeed in your specific industry? It’s important to be aware of emerging technologies in commercial roofing, including new methods and equipment for keeping people safe. Investing in people, both by providing ongoing training and making them feel valued, is another thing that pays off in the long run.

What are the top 3 items on your bucket list? Taking trips to:

  1. Bali 
  2. Honolulu
  3. Paris

What are you doing when you aren’t working? Mountain biking
