What advice would you offer to women getting into the CRE industry?
Getting my real estate license has really helped me learn a lot more about the industry as a commercial lender. It’s also helped to get me connected with a local brokerage, which has allowed me to keep on top of the market and strengthen relationships with local real estate agents.

Who is a woman leader you find to be inspiring and why?
I have been lucky to have several wonderful women mentors throughout my career and have found this to be so important. Every deal or opportunity you come across is different and I find it helpful to rely on others for their experience as well. My mentors have helped me not only in my professional development overall, but also in day-to-day instances with their experiences with specific issues.

Are you part of any CRE organizations? How have they helped your professional development? Yes – I am a member of the National Association of Realtors and Massachusetts Association of Realtors as well as the local Chamber of Commerce. I have found one of the best things to do is network and having my license has allowed me to network more frequently with real estate brokers and agents, as well as industry professionals. Because it’s such a competitive industry, I have found it important get to know anyone and everyone you possibly can (as well as establish an excellent reputation with your peers), so that when there is an opportunity that comes up, people think of you.
