September 29, 2023 - Spotlights
Kirsten Kenney
Partner and Vice Chair, Real Estate
Hinckley Allen

What are the most important factors women in your industry should consider when choosing a firm to build their career with? Being a lawyer is something you learn on the job – one of the most important factors to consider when choosing a firm is the firm’s commitment to mentorship. With access to mentors and lawyers you can learn from and grow with, you’ll gain tools to design your unique path.

Who inspires you most? What qualities do they possess that inspire you? Many colleagues throughout my career have left an indelible impact. I’ve received guidance and mentorship from many great lawyers who’ve contributed to my development as a lawyer and a leader. I admire those that bring a sense of humor, individuality, and humility in meeting the demands of our profession.

Why should this nominee be recognized in our Women in CRE Spotlight?

“We recommend Kirsten for her exemplary service and leadership. Kirsten demonstrates a passion for mentorship, learning, and creating positive impacts. Her recent elevation as the first female Vice Chair of the Real Estate group serves as a testament to her accomplishments.” - David Connolly, Partner and Chair, Real Estate at Hinckley Allen.

What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I am honored to serve as the first female Vice Chair of Hinckley Allen’s real estate group, and am directly involved in the development and administration of our practice for the benefit of our clients and team. I am proud to see the cohesion, collaboration, and innovation among our partners and associates across offices and work-models. In my new role, I look forward to creating additional opportunities for engagement, mentorship, and growth.
