What emerging trends will drive investment and development in 2024?

There is an ever-critical need and trend for owners and facility managers to preserve their most important physical asset, the building structure. This is best achieved through a proactive, well-planned building envelope inspection program, and as necessary, the subsequent restoration of any building element that may be the source of water infiltration. The key to a sound program for facility managers is to preserve the integrity of the building envelope -- not to wait until water infiltration has already occurred.

In Greater Boston, there are many aging and historic buildings with solid mass brick masonry wall construction and for which ongoing maintenance is particularly important, and there is an increasing trend among building owners to have semi-annual inspections in the spring and fall performed by industry professionals.
