2024 Ones to Watch - Rising Stars: Ryan Kraynak, Arbor Realty Trust

Ryan Kraynak
Vice President, Screening
Arbor Realty Trust

“Not only has Ryan significantly impacted Arbor’s Underwriting and Screening operations, but he has also invested his time in mentoring junior colleagues to help them grow within our organization and their careers. He is a hard worker and lifelong learner, and having that mindset has helped make him, and Arbor, incredibly successful.” - Dustin Pevear, Managing Director, Director of Screening at Arbor Realty Trust.

In the last 12 months what accomplishment are you most proud of? I’m very proud of the work my team has put into getting transactions signed up over the last 12 months. Given the current market, the lending and transacting market has been highly challenging. Our group at Arbor has come together to tackle issues head-on with creative solutions to get deals done. This hard work really shows as Arbor continues to be a Fannie Mae top lender.

Outside of your career, where else do you seek continuous learning and personal growth? I think continuous learning comes from other people in your life, including strangers you meet on the street. Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don’t, so there’s always an opportunity to learn something, whether it be a valuable lesson or even things you’d want to avoid yourself. I also enjoy mentoring others at any opportunity that comes my way.
