2024 Ones to Watch - Rising Stars: Tyler Aalto, Sullivan & Sullivan Auctioneers, LLC

Tyler Aalto
Director of On-Site Auctions
Sullivan & Sullivan Auctioneers, LLC

“I am proud to nominate Tyler Aalto, as a ‘rising star in the business.’ Tyler’s contributions to our company have made a significant impact on our daily operations. His ability to navigate the complex world of real estate auctions, while maintaining a track record of success, is a testament to his potential and dedication.” - Marianne Sullivan, President at Sullivan & Sullivan Auctioneers, LLC.

In the last 12 months what accomplishment are you most proud of? The efficiency I’ve helped bring to the organization through the effective use of technology is a key accomplishment. With a focus on the integration of our proprietary auction management software with our in-house team, I’ve brought this into all phases of the live on-site auction process. Our electronic bidder registration, tracking and digital delivery following each auction is proof that our investment in technology provides a better, smoother experience for both bidders and our clients.

How do you balance your rising career with your personal life? Being part of an organization that conducts hundreds and hundreds of live auctions across three states every year can be a bit hectic. It’s very fast paced and high energy. I try to find balance by making sure I get plenty of time to enjoy the peace and quiet of being outdoors. I spend a lot of my free time fishing around the Cape both inshore and offshore.

Who are the key people in your life that have contributed to your success? Marianne Sullivan, both the founder of the company and my aunt, has contributed to my success in innumerable ways. First, by bringing me on board as a part-time employee while finishing up my degree a few years ago, and then continuing to provide me with opportunities to challenge myself and grow into positions of increasing responsibility every day since then. I value her experience, her knowledge, and her mentorship tremendously.
